The Prisoners Building Homes Programme (PBH) is an innovative programme which sees prisoners working with modular house builders and providers, the public and third sectors to build low carbon, sustainable homes for local communities and vulnerable people. Join this webinar to find out more about how PBH is supporting community housing.
In addition to developing affordable homes the programme addresses other Government priorities including unlocking small and challenging sites, reducing reoffending, addressing skills and capacity gaps in construction supply chains and encouraging off site construction. PBH brings together a number of public sector agencies including Government Departments (MHCLG, MOJ and Cabinet Office) regional Police and Crime Commissioners, local authorities, Prison and Probation Services and skills agencies. Local Partnerships have been supporting the programme through a critical stage in its evolution, as it scales up from a regional pilot in South West England to a national offer. This webinar will give attendees the opportunity to hear about the programme from Sophie Baker (Programme Manager) and Michael O’Doherty (Director at Local Partnerships), including the financial challenges, risks, and potential solutions to the ‘scaling-up’ conundrum.View the other webinars in the HOUSING SUPPORT series
