At Local Partnerships, we are doing everything we can to provide support to hard-working colleagues with public sector contracts.
We have received a number of enquiries in relation to the complex contracting landscape that has been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. We are already providing advice and support to councils, especially where public service provision is outsourced. We are also supporting a significant number of infrastructure-related projects that are delivered through the Private Finance Initiative (PFI).
Councils face tough challenges as they seek to reduce costs, continue (and even increase) service delivery and look for ways to unlock new income streams.

Energy efficiency and financial savings through Re:fit
RE:FIT is a procurement framework and support service available to all public sector organisations in the UK.
Since 2009 it has been helping organisations to deliver “spend-to-save” environmental retrofit projects that both improve their buildings and, importantly, make substantial guaranteed financial savings.

Joining up the many factors that need to be considered and successfully managed between councils and their partners is highly challenging and increasingly complex. We help councils and other public and third sector organisations navigate the multifaceted processes and mechanisms required to develop and deliver solutions to meet these challenges.
The “Planning to succeed” that our Infrastructure and Waste teams carry out boosts our clients’ capacity, capability and commercial skills. We act as a supportive influence, helping to plan strategically, solve complex commercial issues, manage programmes or projects effectively, increase delivery confidence and manage the whole approach to market.
Local Partnerships provides a practical and objective approach to increasing housing supply: we can help you unlock the potential in your area.
The idea that councils should become housing delivery enablers is gaining momentum. The Treasury-commissioned Elphicke-House Report and the Sir Michael Lyons’ Review both propose more active and dynamic roles for councils in their overall housing markets, using their powers, influence and resources to drive housing activity locally.
