Local Partnerships and Prisoners Building Homes join together at UKREiiF

Reoffending and housing shortages are national crises. What if one could help solve the other?

Local Partnerships and Prisoners Building Homes (PBH) are delighted to announce their participation at UKREiiF 2025.

We are hosting an invitation-only roundtable focusing on our work to reduce reoffending and address housing pressures. This roundtable explores how the PBH programme is equipping prisoners with skills and employment, as well as delivering affordable, sustainable homes to help tackle the housing crisis, and make significant savings.

PBH is an innovative programme which sees prisoners working with housebuilders and providers, the public and third sectors to build low carbon, sustainable homes for local communities and vulnerable people. In addition to delivering affordable homes the programme addresses other Government priorities including unlocking small and challenging sites, reducing reoffending, addressing skills and capacity gaps in construction supply chains and encouraging off-site construction.

PBH brings together the public and private sector including Government Departments (Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government, Ministry of Justice, Local Government Association and the Cabinet Office), regional Police and Crime Commissioners, local authorities, Prison and Probation Services, and housebuilders. Local Partnerships have been supporting the programme through a critical stage in its evolution, as it scales up from a regional pilot in South West England to a national offer.
