LGA CONFERENCE 2025: Turning ESG into ROI: How Councils Can Cut Costs and Carbon Through Supply Chain Action

This is a fringe session, meaning it takes place outside of regular conference hours Councils are under pressure to meet ESG goals, control costs, and meet recent Procurement Act reforms — all while managing increasingly complex supplier networks. This fringe session will explore how councils can drive measurable environmental and financial impact by engaging their supply chains in sustainability.  Brought to you by Zellar, a digital sustainability platform working with local authorities and public bodies across the UK, this session will demonstrate how councils can gain real-time visibility of supply chain emissions, support supplier action, and reduce procurement risk.  We’ll share lessons from councils already leading the way, and show how ESG data and cost-saving opportunities can be surfaced without time intensive processes or expensive consultants.  Food and drink will be provided. Open to all delegates.  See this event on the LGA website
