Ben joined Local Partnerships in October 2025. Prior to joining Local Partnerships as a Director in the Climate team in October 2025, Ben’s career was leading a broad range of environmental services in local government.
These included leading organisational and countywide carbon reduction strategies, waste collection, waste disposal, active travel programmes, nature recovery, building conservation and nutrient pollution.
With extensive procurement experience Ben has procured waste collection services, varied and extended waste disposal arrangements, supported the procurement of public realm services and commissioned a broad range of environmental, place and building retrofit programmes.
He has a track record of developing and delivering numerous environmental transformation programmes, achieving strong environmental performance and driving financial income/savings.
Ben has an BSc in Physics, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, PRINCE2 and he is currently completing a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Outside of work Ben is also voluntary Director of Sustainability West Midlands and a community energy co-operative, Pomona Solar Co-Operative. He is also a keen cricketer.
