Calum Bradbury-Sparvell
Calum joined the Marketing and Communications team in September 2026.
He is responsible for creating and delivering high-quality content that showcases the organisation’s expertise, insight and impact across the public sector.
Calum is a communications professional and editor with more than 10 years’ experience in Government-funded and purpose-led organisations. Before joining Local Partnerships, he worked across the third sector, designing campaigns and content about diverse topics in further education (FE), online safety and children’s mental health.
Most recently, he managed the content lifecycle at ETF – the sector body for FE – including the Department for Education’s T Level Professional Development (TLPD) and Apprenticeship Workforce Development (AWD) offers, in partnership with subject-matter experts, teachers and learning design specialists.
Before that, he led communications and content for major national partnerships with Google, Meta, GambleAware and the National Crime Agency on behalf of the social enterprise PZ. He managed multiple streams of activity, developed evidence-led thought leadership about digital family life and oversaw Be Internet Legends (Google’s internet safety programme). The latter included an ambitious ‘pandemic pivot’ in 2020, for which he scripted virtual assemblies, produced timely remote teaching resources and created animations with Aardman in a matter of weeks.
Calum also developed broad communications experience during his time at the children’s mental health charity Place2Be, where he was responsible for campaigns, websites and digital channels. Working with educational psychologists, clinicians and other specialists, he distilled complex mental health research and professional expertise into accessible content, especially during the charity’s annual Children’s Mental Health Week campaigns.
