Emilie Woodger-Smith

Emilie Woodger-Smith joined Local Partnerships as an Assistant Director for Climate in January 2025

With over nine years of experience in the public sector, working across both unitary and county councils. She has delivered service change programmes in waste management, led initiatives in sustainability, and impactful behaviour change campaigns.

Before joining Local Partnerships, Emilie worked at South Gloucestershire Council and Gloucestershire County Council, delivering multiple projects on driving the circular economy, climate engagement, and stakeholder collaboration. She is dedicated to supporting the public sector to navigate sustainability and waste challenges and drive long-term impact towards a circular economy.

Alongside her public sector experience, Emilie has a background in communications and social media engagement, using digital platforms to drive awareness and behaviour change around sustainability.

She holds project management qualifications and a NEBOSH Health & Safety certification.
