George Cole

George Cole joined Local Partnerships in 2025 as a Strategy Director within the Sustainability and Resilience team.

George supports public sector organisations to minimise waste and maximise resources. He brings considerable experience in public policy and circular economy, working with UK and devolved governments and Local Authorities on critical environmental challenges. His work leverages novel research and data insights to inform national decision-making and identify opportunities for innovative delivery models.

He draws upon international experience and best practice having supported a wide array of intergovernmental organisations. Past clients include the UN, European Commission, and World Bank in tackling waste, climate change and marine litter.

George holds an MRes in Earth System Science from the University of Bristol and utilises systems thinking in his work to envision and deliver transformative change.
