Joran Mendel

Joran Mendel has over 20 years of strategic financial and commercial experience advising central and local government at Board level.

In particular his expertise is in the design and establishment of arms-length entities, procurement and review of complex service contracts, commercial review of public sector markets and services and the establishment of governance models in complex stakeholder environments.

Joran has a further role leading the data analytics team, taking responsibility for the development of data-enabled analysis, insight and tools across all programme areas.

Examples of recent work include advising Welsh Government on the establishment of its arms-length renewable energy company, advising the police National Commercial Board on the establishment of Bluelight Commercial ltd, and identifying commercial opportunities for councils with regard to parking services.

Prior to Local Partnerships Joran worked for PwC Corporate Finance, Liberata UK, Thompson Financial and Credit Suisse.
