Leon Wong

Leon Wong joined Local Partnerships’ Board in October 2023.
Leon has been Deputy Director of Health Science at Welsh Government since 2021, working with NHS Wales to improve diagnosis and treatment through the use of Healthcare Science and Precision Medicine such as Genomics.
Prior to this, Leon was Head of Permanent Secretary’s office at Ministry of Justice. He has worked broadly across domestic policies, both in the UK and overseas, after joining the civil service as a policy officer with HM Treasury in 2004. Leon is a Chartered Management Accountant, and holds a Master of Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
