Our Impact Report 2019-20

Our Impact Report 2019-20
I am delighted to announce the publication of our impact report for 2019-20. In it we celebrate the successes we have helped our clients achieve in areas such as improving air quality, accelerating housing provision, delivering efficiency and savings, and waste and recycling provision. The climate crisis featured prominently throughout a busy year that ended in our swift deployment to help councils and government departments grapple with the sudden and unexpected demands imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus on green jobs and investment, energy efficiency and decarbonisation in the Chancellor’s statement highlights the key role councils can play in recovery. Our green energy and retrofit programmes can help councils develop their responses to the challenges posed by the climate emergency and we will play our part in supporting those plans. I would like to pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of all my colleagues in the support they have provided, and continue to provide, to the public sector and I hope you enjoy reading more about our work.
