Wales Climate Week 2025
Wales Climate Week highlights the need for resilience in a changing climate.
Wednesday 5 November:
At Local Partnerships, we’re proud to be working with Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government on the Adaptation Accelerator Project to support the Health and Social Care sector develop robust risk assessment and climate adaptation plans, based on the Health and Social Care Climate Adaptation Toolkit.
The project consists of training and sharing of best practice, to help organisations prepare for and adapt to future challenges – protecting communities, services and wellbeing across Wales.

As part of the Adaptation Accelerator Project, a survey on the health and social care sectors readiness in adapting to climate change is being rerun. This is to assess the progress made in the last two years and highlight where more support is required.

Thursday 6 November:
This Wales Climate Week, we are looking back to the launch of the Welsh Government Energy Service Impact Report, which marked another record-breaking year of progress towards a net zero Wales.
As a proud strategic delivery partner, Local Partnerships has worked alongside the Welsh Government Energy Service to unlock funding, accelerate clean energy delivery, and support public and community organisations across Wales.
Some of the standout achievements from the report included:
- £107.7m invested in clean energy and energy efficiency
- 5,656 tonnes CO₂e saved from fleet decarbonisation alone
- 28.59MW of renewable generation capacity consented
- over 1.1 million tonnes CO₂e projected lifetime savings
- support delivered to more than 300 public and community organisations
We were especially pleased to see these efforts recognised at Ysgol Brynhyfryd in Denbighshire, where Local Partnerships Carwyn Davies joined the Deputy First Minister to see how solar panels and heat pumps are helping schools cut emissions and energy costs.
At Local Partnerships, we’re proud to continue helping the Welsh public sector deliver tangible progress on the path to Net Zero Wales.
