Vanessa Vooght

Vanessa Vooght joined Local Partnerships in March 2024 as a Director in the Climate Team.

Working in the Ynni Cymru team, Vanessa will be helping to promote sustainable energy transition through community owned renewable energy projects across Wales, leading on issues renewable projects face with connecting to the national grid.

Vanessa has spent over a decade in the private sector, specialising in energy and carbon management. Before her role at Local Partnerships, she led a team of consultants at Equans, where they designed, implemented and verified tailored energy solutions for private and industrial clients. She has hands-on experience identifying opportunities for energy, carbon, and cost reduction, working across various systems such as steam, hot water, CHP and solar. Her expertise spans demand reduction, energy efficiency, process improvement and integrating renewable energy sources.

She has a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Exeter University, which has provided her a strong technical foundation for her work in the energy sector.
