Carwyn Davies
Carwyn Davies joined Local Partnerships in January 2024 as a Strategic Lead for the Welsh Government Energy Service, supporting the public sector across North and Mid Wales with a wide range of infrastructure, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects covering multiple technologies.
As a fluent, first language Welsh speaker Carwyn has worked in several local authorities in North and Mid Wales in a career spanning over 20 years where he has developed considerable local government experience at a senior level working across several sectors including being appointed a Headteacher of a large Welsh medium secondary school before being employed by Wrexham County Borough Council as a Senior Officer with the responsibility of leading and implementing a national statutory programme within the county borough. This resulted in opportunities to develop collaboration between the six local authorities across North Wales and Carwyn played a strategic active role in regional developments and implementation.
Carwyn currently supports the Welsh Government Energy Service working across the entire Welsh public sector supporting clients with their Net Zero ambitions.
Carwyn’s background is in geography, and this formed the focus of his BSc (Hons) and MSc degrees. He also holds the NPQH professional qualification.
