EXPLORE Nature

The Nature Outcome Measures presents the current state of nature in the Local Authority area. Its focus is healthy functioning ecosystems. Ecosystems are natural systems which are important in nature and deliver essential benefits to people. Ecosystems work best when natural processes, such as hydrology, have room to operate freely. This happens best when natural systems have enough room and are messy, complex, and dynamic. The Nature Outcome Measures report through seven indicator themes on the extent and condition of local ecosystems.
