Nicky Hunt

Nicky joined Local Partnerships in December 2024 as an Assistant Director for Climate and works with the Zero-Waste Team.

With 18 years working in waste management within the public sector, both with local authorities and a waste contractor, Nicky’s expertise lies in operational and strategic approaches to waste management for local authorities, supported by a strong background in communicating technical information and behavioural change campaigns.

Nicky has worked on projects that enhance performance and efficiency of waste services including wholesale service changes, trialling initiatives, building relationships and improving public engagement and participation.

Having worked predominantly with a unitary waste authority, she has comprehensive experience in collection and disposal aspects of waste management.

Nicky is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management and holds a NEBOSH Health & Safety certification.
