Rhys Jones

Rhys Jones joined Local Partnerships in October 2025 as an experienced project manager with a background spanning both the public and private sectors.

Before joining Local Partnerships, Rhys worked in the economic development department of a Local Authority, where he managed the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund programmes. In this role, he oversaw major capital redevelopment projects and designed and delivered business grant schemes to support wider economic growth. This opportunity to deliver meaningful change within his home district was a significant career highlight.

Rhys holds a master’s degree in Geoscience from Durham University and spent more than a decade as a scientific consultant in the private sector, providing technical expertise to global clients and serving as regional manager for a US subsidiary, where he successfully delivered commercial growth and operational oversight.
